Both of these are small format, acrylic on watercolor paper. I lived in the desert some years back, and loved the silent drama of the landscape there. These 2 pieces were inspired by recent photographs, taken by a cousin on a trek through the desert, and by the memories I have of these places that go all purple at night, and wake up all Naples yellow and red ochre and yellow oxide.
