R.B.G.: Metal A.F.

I began this painting shortly after Ruth Bader Ginsburg left the world. Specifically, it was around the time the idiot in the Whitehouse and everyone that klown had gathered together to mock and “replace” her all got the Covid they had been screaming was “a hoax.”

It’s taken years to get this piece past that difficult, kindergarten phase that paintings seem to go through before they find their way. But I think it’s getting close. Here’s to the Crones, who stand between us and the rule of the pathetic dicks.

I can already see more things to do here. And I fervently hope to transform the anger in this piece into something more productive. Art, and existence, are a process. You can’t rush a plant growing, a painting manifesting, or… a healing of a deep and grievous wound. Fuck patriarchy. It’s the stupidest thing humans ever did. And it’s OVER.
