Another existential landscape.
I feel like the main story with this piece is in the wires. It’s a whole story, scribbled into the sky above favelas, about the aspirations and balms of poverty; about danger, and culture, and connections – missed and otherwise. About meeting inequality with the inexhaustible creativity and necessary suppression of fear that one finds at the margins. About DIY transgressions, and piratitude, and finding ways around systemic obstacles.
Our collective mind crackles and sparks its exuberant voice through the dangling mycelium of wires, trying not to burn the whole thing down.
