There was this one, beautiful, night. I was snuggled up next to a pretty boy in the dark interior of a carload of musicians, sipping talls in the cozy back seat, looking out at the stunning lights as we glided over the Hudson. I was warm, and happy, and a little sideways and I lifted my eyes in astonishment at the beauty of the world that night. There’s nothing in this world like New York City, and it still takes my breath away every time I see those millions and millions and millions of lights.
